What's your double under?
MotivationYesterday my coach (yes I have one and I believe everyone should) had me doing double unders (twice around in one jump with a jump rope) for my first workout of the day. I had to do 500- going by 5s from 5 to 50 and back down resting in between. I’m terrible at double unders. They always get my goat. They make my heart race like a jackhammer and frustrate me to no end when I get tired and start missing lots of them. I had the choice of an easier workout. One that I would’ve enjoyed more and felt better at, but I chose the double unders.
What’s your double under? What’s something that comes up in a workout and you go ‘Oh no, not that!”? If you’ve got more than one or two (like me) then it’s time to practice. Get better at your weaknesses and your results will skyrocket. Mental and physical improvement abound when you conquer your challenges. Hate running? 5k. Hate burpees? 25 burpees a day. Loath sit ups? Knees to elbow while hanging.
I tell you what. Next time 50 double unders come up in a workout…no sweat!

My “Double Under” is the Burpee! I hate it. It hurts my back! I don’t want to do them. I guess I will gut up and do some! Sounds Like I was challenged to do the 1X each day + 1 to 70 (70 burpee’s on the 70th day) I hate you Chris! ;-}
